The Passive House approach does more than deliver comfortable living spaces. Designing and building a Passive House dwelling has a range of effects in terms of sustainability, economics and climate.

This course is designed to provide students with a fundamental understanding of both, how the Passive House Standard works and the specific scientific values on which it is based. The coure starts by examining the requirements that buildings should meet to maintain human health. Next, it looks at the impact that the building industry is having on climate change, plus the economics of the Passive House approach. Finally, an overview is provided of the health, sustainability and economics impacts.
